Zachary Hill-Joseph obituary:

Read tributes from Zachary Hill-Joseph’s friends on Facebook:
  • From Keith Bruneau:
So sad to hear of the passing of Zachary Hill-Joseph. Even though we didn’t know each other all that well we had Rhody pride as fellow graduates of The University of Rhode Island. Rest in peace my friend!!!!!
  • Brett Casiraghi
Really really upset over the loss of Zachary Hill-Joseph. From the moment I met him ten years ago I was hooked on his brightness.. bright smile, bright eyes, bright energy.
I met him at a very ‘special’ edition (lol) of Bobby Nash’s pool party, but it was when he sat down at the piano that I basically fell in love with him. His hands on those keys were magic.
The last time I saw him was sadly almost two years ago while I was driving across the country alone. When I reached Phoenix after six days, Zach welcomed me into his new home and sat right down at the piano and played and it was just like that time at Bobby’s all those years ago.
  • From Joseph Balboni:
I will never forget all the amazing times we had together and the fun competitions!! I will see you in Heaven!! I love you and Godspeed! I’m really gonna miss you. ❤️ Zachary Hill-Joseph
  • From Joe Lazzerrini:
RIP Zachary Hill-Joseph. You were taken from this world far too soon.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.

How Lisa Mason husband Gino died: Gino Contawe obituary

How Lisa Mason husband Gino died – Gino Contawe had suffered esophageal cancer back in 2015.
Four and half years after Gino Contawe cancer diagnosis, in February 2019, Gino appreciated his wife Lisa in a warm, sweet Facebook post that read:
“I would like to give my beloved an anniversary shout out! It has been 4 1/2 years since the cancer diagnosis. Thank you for helping to keep me alive.
You have been the best wife, advocate and supporter that a man could ask for. Through four miracles, multiple surgeries and a list of treatments you never wavered. You are one in a million!!!
I love you more than any man could love a woman. Thank you!”
Lisa had announced Gino Contawe’s cancer diagnosis back in 2015 as sudden and shocking stage four esophageal cancer with spread to the lymph nodes, lungs and brain.
She wrote on several posts on Facebook:
“7 months ago, Doctors suggested that Gino and I get our affairs in order. A sudden and shocking stage four esophageal cancer with spread to the lymph nodes, lungs and brain was my husband’s diagnosis.
We heeded their words of wisdom. Signing and initialing multiple documents in our attorney’s office. He initialed “GC” (Gino Contawe). I initialed ” LM” (Lisa Mason).
Dark, dark days followed with multiple surgeries, radiation, chemo.
Today, we learned that Gino has no cancer in… the brain, practically nothing in the lungs and the esophageal tumor has shrunk so much that it can’t be seen on a scan.
What does it mean? Is he cured? Permanent remission? We don’t know for sure….we live day by day…..but today I decided that the initials “GC” and “LM” no longer stand for our names. “GCLM” to me now means: “God’s Compassion+Love=Miracles”! Life is a blessing. And a gift. We are grateful. Thank you for prayers. We humbly thank you. God Bless You.
Gino and Lisa.”
In another earlier post she wrote about Gino:
“My friends. What an extraordinary week. After learning that esophageal cancer is the number one fastest growing cancer in the US, Gino and I got to work!
We meet with the board of the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association this month to help all we can.
Please, please understand. There are often NO symptoms. This cancer is found in people who have smoked or drank heavily.
Or, in Gino’s case, had acid reflux years ago. Gino took the medication for acid reflux and the heartburn “went away”.
In actuality, it didn’t. He just couldn’t feel it any longer.
Little did we know, heartburn can exist with absolutely no discomfort. We beg you. If you have been a heavy smokey or drinker. If you have had acid reflux in the past, please see you doctor.
By the time the first symptoms presents…(difficulty swallowing, hiccuping during meals, food feeling “stuck” in the throat, needing more liquids during meals)…the cancer has already advanced.
We love you. We greatly care for you. We do not want you to travel our road. We ask you to think about this!!! Gino and I stand committed to help others know more about this horrible cancer. God Bless You!!!!”

After revealing that the former president of Peru, Alan García, had been shot dead in the head hours after being admitted to a hospital when he was being detained by the police for alleged corruption offenses in the Odebrecht case ; the photographs of the terrible moment have been revealed.
Thanks to an audio, apparently shared by hospital staff, it is known that former President Alan García had been notified 10 days before his arrest.
When the authorities arrived at his house, Alan García asked to speak with his lawyer and left the officers’ sight; minutes later a shot was heard .
The audio reveals that the shot entered the neck of former President Alan Garcia, broke his jaw and the bullet went through the head.
Enrique Gutiérrez, director of the Casimiro Ulloa hospital in Lima, said that the exmandatario presented a shot of a firearm in the skull “with an entrance and exit hole “, he also said that they did everything possible to save his life, however due to the gravity of his injuries, this was not achieved.
Alan García was being investigated for alleged bribes in the construction of a train for Lima, a project in which Odebrecht was involved.

A 19-year-old aspiring actress identified as, Shante Stephenson, committed suicide by hanging over fear that she was ugly.
19-year-old commits suicide over fear that she was ugly lailasnews
Shante Stephenson, would often compare herself to friends online – struggling with low self-esteem over her appearance and after recently losing her job.
Tragically, Walthamstow Coroners’ Court heard the teen had taken her life just a week after being assessed as “no longer in crisis” by the NHS.
The inquest also heard Shante was supposed to have medication delivered to her the day she died but it was delivered two days late.
Dr William Travers, at the time a consultant psychiatrist with the Impart home treatment team, said he had met the teen a week after one of her first suicide attempts.
He said: “It seemed to have been triggered by an experience she had performing a role in a theatre show case, she didn’t think she performed it well, and she was dwelling on it, replaying it over and over in her mind.”
Dr Travers added the teen revealed how she had struggled with her weight and feelings of being inadequate. He said:
“She told me that since the age of 11 she was focused on not being good enough, with regard to her career ambitions and her physical appearance in particular. “She was continuously comparing herself to her peers and frequently looking at multiple social media sites.”
The young woman had been referred to an NHS crisis team but she was formally discharged on June 22 – five days before her death.
Experts told the inquest she had seemed “positive” and “optimistic” about the future at the time.
The inquest heard that anti-depressant discharge medication was arranged for Shante and was to be delivered on June 27, the day she passed away, but arrived two days after on June 29.
The coroner passed on his “deepest condolences” to Shante’s father Ian Stephenson, who attended the inquest.

Police sources said Serafin-Bazan was performing exercises from Thursday night into Friday morning when he began to experience physical distress.
More reports said Serafin-Bazan was carried outside the Custer Street house in order to get some fresh air after he fell and hit the back of his head on a coffee table.
An eyewitness reported  seeing four or five people carry a person from the house and set him down on the front lawn of the home. One of the individuals stayed on the scene while the others fled, the neighbor said.
The 18-year-old, from Westchester County, had recently been treated for a respiratory ailment, possibly the flu. Preliminary toxicology reports showed no drugs or alcohol in his system.
The case remains under investigation as police await the results of an autopsy.
University at Buffalo President Satish K. Tripathi issued a statement regarding Serafin-Bazan’s death:
“Our hearts go out to Sebastian’s family for the devastating heartbreak they are experiencing,” Tripathi said in a written statement. “We extend our sincerest condolences to the Serafin-Bazan family and to all of Sebastian’s friends here at UB and in his hometown of Port Chester, N.Y. We join them in mourning the tragic loss of a member of our UB family.
“If you are struggling, please know that our university counselors are here to provide you support in the aftermath of this terrible loss. As we grieve Sebastian’s passing today and well beyond, it is my hope that each of us pauses to remind ourselves that we can only uphold our humanity by treating each other with dignity, compassion and kindness,” he said.
UB officials announced later that day the university was suspending official fraternity and sorority activities.
