Many Feared Dead As Kalashnikov-wielding Gunman Goes On Rampage In Central Paris

A Kalashnikov-wielding gunman went on the rampage in central Paris tonight, causing deaths and at least seven woundings.Gunfire was heard inside a restaurant close to Rue Bichat, in the 10th arrondissement of the city soon after 9pm, along with shouting and screaming. French officials said there were two explosions near the Stade de France sports stadium in Paris as well as the shootout in the restaurant, but it is not known whether the attacks were linked.
As anti-terrorist police flooded the area, an officer on the scene warned ‘the gunman is suspected to be still on the loose. People should leave the area.’ Police and other emergency services are at the scene, which is close to where the Charlie Hebdo attack happened in January.
