Britney Spears is keeping up with some of her usual routine as she continues to seek treatment at a wellness facility.
Thursday morning, Spears, 37, was spotted at a hair salon in Los Angeles, according to E! News.
An eyewitness told the outlet that Spears “arrived with three people from her team this morning to get her blonde roots touched up and extensions retouched.”
According to the source, Spears seemed to be in good spirits and was happy to be getting in a little self-care.
“She seemed fine and content… was definitely excited to get her hair done,” the source told E! News.
But while Spears took some time out to have her hair down, that does not mean that she isn’t continuing to focus on her wellness treatment.
A source tells PEOPLE that the singer is still in treatment. As part of the treatment process, people are encouraged to keep up with some of their usual routines, the source added.
Last week the “Piece of Me” singer posted a picture of a quote which reads “Fall in love with taking care of yourself, mind, body, spirit” on Instagram.
Along with the post, Spears included the caption: “We all need to take time for a little ‘me time.’ :)”
A source confirmed to PEOPLE that the singer checked into a facility for “all-encompassing wellness treatment.”
According to another source close to the family, “Britney just needed to focus on herself” as she cares for her father Jamie after his “life-threatening” colon rupture, the source confirms.
“Her dad being sick has taken a toll on her,” the source tells PEOPLE. “He nearly died and actually had another surgery a few weeks ago. He’s not doing well. They’re so close and it has been a lot. There is nothing dramatic going on with her — she just realized she needs to make sure to take time to care for herself.”
While gearing up for a return to the Las Vegas strip with her show Domination after taking wildly successful Vegas show Britney: Piece of Me on tour over the summer, Spears announced that she was taking an indefinite break from work in January to support her father.
“I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say,” Spears wrote in an emotional tweet, posting an old photo of her posing with both her parents, Jamie, 66, and Lynne, 63. “I will not be performing my new show Domination. I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart.”
“However, it’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make,” she elaborated in a follow-up tweet. “A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him.”
Since it was revealed that Spears is seeking treatment, the Grammy winner has received an outpour of love from her family.
Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline, whom she shares sons Sean Preston, 13, and Jayden James, 12, with — has commended her decision.
“Kevin commends Britney for recognizing that she needs to take a step back and that she is taking reasonable steps to dealing with her situation in a responsible way,” Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told Entertainment Tonight. “He wishes everyone well.”

Spears and Federline, 41, finalized their divorce in 2007 after nearly three years of marriage. It is believed that Jayden and Sean are staying with Federline while Spears seeks treatment.
Spears’ younger sister Jamie Lynn also shared kind words.
In honor of #WomanCrushWednesday, she shared an adorable throwback photo from her first day of school, where she was captured beaming as she stepped off the bus in her polo, denim skirt, and backpack. Right behind her was Britney, who stuck her tongue out for the camera.
“Yup, she rode the bus home with me after my first day of school, cuz she’s the fn best #WCW” Jamie Lynn, 28, captioned the sweet post.
Britney’s boyfriend, model-trainer-actor Sam Asghari, offered words of support on social media.
“It isn’t weakness, It’s a sign of absolute strength,” the 25-year-old wrote on Instagram on Wednesday night. “People should only be inspired by this, at least I am … #stronger”
According to a source, the singer wants to work on herself for the benefit of her sons.
“As a mom, she knows she has to get better,” the source told PEOPLE. “She wanted to get help so she can find ways to cope better. This is what she is getting help with right now.”
