Jodie Foster has sold her Beverly Hills mansion for nearly double the price she paid for it.
In 2012, the Silence of the Lambs actress purchased the 7,500-square-foot abode for $7.5 million, but recently sold it for $14.9 million Variety reports. The abode was first listed in February for $15.9 million with David Kramer of Hilton & Hyland, a Christie’s International Real Estate Affiliate.

The 1950s two-story traditional home boasts five bedrooms and seven bathrooms — two half and five full — and is situated on just over half an acre.
Inside, the house features ample room for entertaining, with a sprawling formal living room outfitted with numerous french doors that open onto a brick terrace, alongside a media room and formal dining space.
The exterior space features gardens, an in-ground pool, and views of Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean.
The spacious chef’s kitchen and casual dining area seamlessly connect indoors and out.

Upstairs, the home’s luxurious master suite has vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, its own fireplace, and a private deck that’s also accessible from the en suite master bath.
According to Variety, the two-time Oscar winner has a history of buying and selling luxurious homes in the Los Angeles area. In 2014, she reportedly let go of a property that she first purchased in 1995 in the sought after Bird Streets neighborhood for a little under $5 million.

In 2011, Foster reportedly sold a home directly behind the celeb-favorite Beverly Hills Hotel for $8.3 million. Her former house was reportedly torn down, and that plot now holds a seven-bedroom, twelve-bath villa, which is currently for sale at nearly $39 million, but has languished on the market for almost four years.
