After months of experimenting with her iciest platinum blonde hair color to date, Khloé Kardashian is going back to the dark side.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, 34, showed off her fresh color, which featured deeper roots, by her longtime pro Tracey Cunningham on her Instagram Story.
“I just got my hair colored by Tracey Cunningham. I’m going a little bit darker, just adding more dimension in it,” Kardashian said. “Because it was great. It was such a moment. I loved it. But it’s a lot of upkeep to do that.”
She also noted that the white blonde hue didn’t look as good on her when she wasn’t spray tanned.

“I felt like unless I had spray tan, I didn’t look fabulous all the time,” Kardashian laughed. “But I love adding some more dark in there.”

Cunningham posted about Kardashian’s color transformation on Instagram and revealed the duo plans on darkening her color even more at her next appointment. “Khloé is so realistic and patient, now you can see her natural color woven in on top,” she said. “Next time I will probably put more lowlights on top, but for now we just did the low light underneath the crown.”
Kardashian debuted her new look at her daughter True Thompson‘s extravagant first birthday party, but added hair extensions for some additional length. The star and her daughter dressed in matching August Getty Atelier baby blue dresses for the dreamy outdoor bash complete with butterfly decorations, cotton-candy vendors, whimsical balloons and more.
Tristan Thompson celebrated his daughter’s birthday as seen in videos shared on Khloé’s Instagram Story and his own Instagram account, which marks first time her parents have been seen together since news of his cheating scandal involving Jordyn Woods.
“You deserve all the jewels,” the NBA player told his baby girl at one point as he held her, while she seemed enthralled in the gold chain around his neck.
Kardashian celebrated her daughter’s age milestone on social media Friday with a heartfelt tribute.
“My baby is 1 today,” she began, adding an anguished-face emoji, before sharing the first snapshot: an intimate grab of herself and True in the hospital right after her birth. “Where does the time go?”
